Fendi to Fete ‘Karlito’ Bag Charm

Fendi is crashing the couture party once more with a party Tuesday night at its Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris.

CHARM OFFENSIVE: Fendi is crashing the couture party once more, marking the imminent arrival of its Karlito bag charm with a party Tuesday night at its Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris. The limited-edition, fur pom-pom, in the likeness of Karl Lagerfeld, Fendi’s designer of fur and ready-to-wear since 1965, features black mink sunglasses, a silver fox body and a tuft of goat fur.

Model Cara Delevingne introduced the latest of the Roman brand’s Bag Bugs at its fall runway show in Milan last February. The wait list opened last month, and more than 600 people have already signed up for the bauble, priced at 1,240 euros, or $1,685, according to Fendi. Deliveries are to start in September, accompanied by special window displays emblazoned with “Love Karl.”
