Fergie Surprises Partygoers at Hugo Boss Store Opening in Brazil

The Black Eyed Peas singer dropped by, and while she was only supposed to stay for a quick photo op, she wound up staying three hours.

SURPRISE GUEST: Hugo Boss had a big surprise for the 400-plus guests who turned out to help celebrate the opening of two new Boss stores at Shopping Leblon in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday night. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie dropped by, and while she was only supposed to stay for a quick photo op, she wound up staying three hours, DJing some tunes and even singing “The Time” for excited partygoers.

Other notables that helped the German brand create buzz for the stores, which opened in December, included model Alex Lundqvist and Brazilian actresses Fernanda Paes Leme, Debora Nascimento, Fiorella Matheis, Luma Costa and actors Eriberto Leão, Rodrigo Simas and Bruno Gissoni, who enjoyed finger food, Champagne and cocktails while listening to tunes spun by DJs AndrewAndrew and Johnny Luxo.

During her visit to Brazil, Fergie, along with Lundqvist and Hugo Boss executives Mark Brashear and Ward Simmons, also toured Solar Meninos de Luz, a children’s school. Hugo Boss matched a private donation made by Fergie to help continue the support for underprivileged children in one of Rio’s poorest areas.

Then the group headed to São Paulo where Fergie, along with Brazilian soccer legend Pelé, were honored Friday at the amfAR Inspiration Gala taking place at entrepreneur Dinho Diniz’s home. Hugo Boss is the fashion sponsor of the event.
