SETTING SAIL: Fila and Urban Outfitters are ready to introduce an exclusive women’s capsule collection that takes its cues from the sailing and sea world.

The new Fila + UO range retails from $35 to $150 and will be exclusive to Urban Outfitters stores and online at urbanoutfitters.com beginning March 5.

The sailing-inspired collection is for the spring season only. There will be new and additional Fila + UO collections launching later this spring.

The collection features nautical-style influences and has a contemporary stripe motif and asymmetrical blocks of color. Crisp whites are contrasted with bright colors to create an ocean-inspired color palette.

The eight-piece women’s assortment consists of a crewneck sweatshirt in two colorways, a cropped Henley, a tank top, a casual tank dress, and two short styles. A yellow sailing jacket and bright blue overalls anchor the collection. In addition, a selection of Fila + UO bodywear will be offered.

The capsule will be highlighted in a new ad campaign photographed by David Shea. The ads are inspired by Eighties swimsuit and fashion ads, giving the collection a playful beach vibe. The campaign will appear across social and web platforms and billboards in top markets, including a month-long takeover of the Walgreens building in Times Square, the site of the New York’s Eve ball drop.
