SWIMMING IN: Swimwear was always going to be in the cards for Jennifer Zuccarini’s two-and-a-half year-old lingerie brand, Fleur du Mal. It was just a matter of finding the right time. “We wanted to do a more glamorous take on swim, with pieces that could also function as part of your wardrobe,” Zuccarini said during a preview of the line in her airy Chinatown studio in Manhattan. “I love the idea of that dual functionality.” The collection, offered in a range of black, ivory and hot pink colorways, features cut-outs and lace-up detailing done in Italian fabrics, with a few silhouettes inspired by the brand’s best-selling bras and bodysuits. The line will start at $98 for separates up to $365 for one-pieces, with cover-ups ranging from $348 to $798. Some of the bikini separates will be sold separately to mix and match. So far, confirmed retailers include Saks Fifth Avenue and Fwrd.com, with the collection slated to release with resort deliveries this November.
