FOOTBALL FASHION: Macy’s invited the National Football League to use its Herald Square flagship for a “style-out” Monday afternoon. Four stylists rolled racks of men’s apparel to the corporate offices on the 13th floor for an internal photo shoot designed to showcase how to blend NFL-branded merchandise with street clothes for a stylish overall look. New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz paired gray team sweatpants with his own Michael Bastian sweater and Balenciaga sneakers. “I’ve been very into fashion since I was a young kid,” he said. “But I wasn’t monetarily able to buy what I wanted, mainly because of my mom. But thankfully I can afford a few more things now.”
His teammate, linebacker Mark Herzlich, wore a Mitchell & Ness NFL shirt under a Kenneth Cole Reaction hooded jacket with Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply jeans. He said he started working with a stylist earlier this year to update his wardrobe, which had tended toward the bright stripes and colors he grew up wearing on Cape Cod and Nantucket. “I like the way [actor] Jason Momoa looked, so they molded my look to be like his.”

Turning to the hopes for the Giants next season, Cruz said he believes the team can be a contender. “We’ve added some key pieces to the puzzle, so hopefully we can put it all together,” he said.
