STEALING BEAUTY: “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” Fashion lovers will soon be able to ask the question while gazing at their reflection in a Fornasetti mirror. Founder Piero’s son, Barnaba Fornasetti, unveiled the collection Thursday at Paris store L’Eclaireur. Based on vintage designs and prototypes, some are engraved, while others feature concave or convex glass that distort the viewer’s reflection – though sadly, none that make you look thinner. Fornasetti said the mirrors would be sold at a handful of stores worldwide, including Barneys in New York and Selfridges in London. “I try to be the least commercial possible, so I prefer to do good quality limited editions and also things for your mind, for your soul, for the pleasure of life,” Fornasetti said. “I’m not interested in quantity. I’m not interested in being fast. I call it slow design.”
