French Handiwork Stars in Photo Exhibit

Photographer Patrice Thébault’s images are on display through Oct. 31 in Millau, France.

LENDING A HAND: Photographs giving a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the ateliers of 10 French luxury brands are on display in an exhibition in Millau, France. Entitled “La main en scène,” it includes black-and-white shots taken by French photographer Patrice Thébault, who focused on labels such as artisan glove-maker Causse, luxury fragrance-maker Guerlain, couture embroiderer Lesage and custom shoemaker Massaro.

The photos, focused on the nimble hands of the artisans behind the various crafts, are to be displayed through Oct. 31 at Causse’s factory in Millau.
