Gary Wassner, the CFDA’s Literary Angel

Half of the proceeds from the new children's book written by the president of factoring firm Hilldun Corp. will go to the CFDA Fashion Incubator Program.

FROM FACTOR TO AUTHOR: Gary Wassner, president of factoring firm Hilldun Corp., is donating 50 percent of the proceeds from “Isabella Cucharella, Fashion Designer Extra Ordinaire,” a children’s picture book, to the CFDA Fashion Incubator Program. The digital version can be downloaded from iTunes/iBook for $3.99. In addition, Wassner, who is also a science fiction author, is donating $25,000 to kick off the endowment fund. Wassner said he made the decision because the “endowment could really help the program.” The CFDA said Wassner is a “tremendous asset” to the program as both a mentor and now funder.
