SO GOOD: Jennifer Lopez cut short her long July 4th weekend to fly to Paris for Donatella Versace’s Atelier Versace couture show.
“This was actually my little vacation week. They tried to get me to do radio tomorrow, but I’m fighting,” said the star, her size-2 curves poured into a white bustier gown with a dangerously high slit.
Lopez is in the midst of promoting her album “A.K.A.” and frequently taps couture houses to design her stage outfits. “When you’re onstage, there’s so much that goes into it. You have to be able to move, it has to be beautiful but it has to be functional as well, and not everybody can do that,” she said.
Last month, she performed a free concert in the Bronx, her home neighborhood in New York, wearing made-to-measure Versace outfits, including a bodysuit inspired by the green Versace dress she famously wore to the Grammys in 2000.
“They did every single look and it was just out of this world. You know, I have a long history with Donatella, obviously, with Versace, and I don’t know, it’s always one of my go-to’s because they know my body. Luigi [Massi], their designer, just knows everything about me. It’s just one of those things when you have chemistry with somebody,” she enthused.
Versace returned the compliment by closing the show with “So Good,” a track from the new album, which had J.Lo mouthing along the words in her front-row seat.
