DUCKING IN FOR DONNA: Uma Thurman and Gretchen Mol were among the heavy hitters seated front row at Donna Karan’s show Monday afternoon in Chelsea. The pair, who were ushered in from backstage mere moments before the show began, were greeted by a veritable mob of elbow-swinging photographers. “Donna is always chic,” Thurman said as the lights dimmed. “And wearable.”
Meantime, Bernadette Peters was only planning to attend one show during fashion week and that was Donna Karan. “This is it for me. It’s fun to see all the people,” said Peters, who’s been busy working on “Smash,” where she’s reprising her role of Ivy’s mother, Leigh Conroy. She said the TV show’s been great since she gets to sing several songs this season.
