DONNA’S “IN” CROWD: Rachael Taylor, the Australian actress who starred in “Transformers,” was a front row guest at Donna Karan’s fashion show Monday. She is currently filming “666 Park Avenue,” which has a hint of “Rosemary’s Baby,” where she plays the blonde in the haunted house, she said. Bernadette Peters, also in the front row, said she plans to make another appearance on “Smash” next month and has been travelling around the country doing concerts, having sung with the Boston Pops at Tanglewood this summer.
Divorced couple Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons were seated together. “I love Donna and have been a long-time friend of her family. She makes a statement for women. Her clothing is timeless and so elegant and sexy,” said Kimora. She said she’s been attending a lot of shows this week with Russell, such as Tommy Hilfiger and Charlotte Ronson. “We end up running around together. We came in separate cars but we’re always together,” she said.
Kimora said she recently got $80 million in funding for her Internet site, JustFab. Rho Ventures led the round with participation from Matrix Partners, Technology Crossover Ventures and JustFab parent company, Intelligent Beauty. The money will be used to further JustFab’s international expansion and move into additional fashion categories.
Ashley Greene and Bianca Jagger sat front row at the designer’s show.
