GREEN FINGERS: Could Giambattista Valli be joining the Green Carpet Challenge?

“Hopefully, one day – yes,” Livia Firth, co-founder of the sustainable style initiative, said at the Italian designer’s couture show in Paris on Monday.

Two years ago, Meryl Streep accepted her Oscar for best actress in a Lanvin gown made from sustainably produced fabric, and Firth is busy getting others on board for awards season. She noted that earlier this month, Cate Blanchett wore a pair of earrings from Chopard’s Green Carpet Collection to the Golden Globes.

But with the Oscars, “that is one of the things that you can never tell until the end,” she noted.

The show drew socialites such as Tatiana Casiraghi, Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova and Becca Cason Thrash. Starlet Solène Hébert, who recently had a cameo in Jalil Lespert’s “Yves Saint Laurent” biopic, said she would be seen later this month in a short film called “Three Sisters.”

“It is very loosely based on Chekhov’s play,” she said. “It’s very beautifully done.”
