HONOR STUDENTS: Having been plucked from an open casting for Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom,” Kara Hayward’s next role is in Jerry Levine’s “The Optimist.” When not on location filming, she is all about keeping up with her schoolwork and her classmates back in Boston. And the 14-year-old was happy to report her friends treat her just the same. “I am in the eighth grade at a public school. I am the same person I was when I left that I am when I get back,” she said. “I am not much of a math person though.”
Another Honor fan, Jess Weixler, also talked shop. The Good Wife actress has upcoming roles in “Look of Love,” “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Hers” and “Somebody Up There Likes Me.” Right now her leading role is supporting her “best friend” Jessica Chastain’s bid for an Oscar – they were roommates while in school at the Juilliard. But Weixler isn’t about to dole out any fashion advice – “I don’t believe that I have anything legitimate to say about that. Oh no, she has a stylist for that,” Weixler said.
In the leadup to Oscar Night, the pals will keep doing what they like to do – getting pedicures, catching indie flicks at The Angelika and when on the West Coast grabbing a meal at Ann Gentry’s Real Food Daily.
