CLICK! CLICK! FLASH! FLASH! As fashion week draws to a close the mob scenes at front rows are picking up. After a Wednesday morning at Michael Kors that saw appearances by Michael Douglas, Blake Lively, Rose Byrne and Freida Pinto — all off limits to reporters — Jason Wu’s debut at Hugo Boss drew a pair of Academy Award winners — Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow, the face of the fragrance Boss Jour Pour Femme, both of whom, by design, arrived just minutes before the show began to an avalanche of flashbulbs. Diane Kruger took her seat much earlier. The actress, a fan of Wu’s, had just returned from the Berlin Film Festival, where two of her new films are showing.
“I think he loves women,” she said, referring to the designer. “There’s something about his designs that really resonates with me and I wear his stuff a lot, so I’m curious about how his vision will change Hugo.”
Scott Eastwood, Clint’s equally squinty-eyed son, was also in the front row, passing the time by palling around with Gerard Butler. The younger actor immediately tweeted out an Instagram selfie of the two posing together, Hugo Boss hashtag included, of course. Butler was overheard telling him: “I used to tweet s–t. I don’t anymore.”
