MUSIC MAN: Julien Macdonald, who earlier this month joined the cast of the British TV show “Strictly Come Dancing,” clearly knows his priorities. “We were all at rehearsal and Julien wasn’t there,” said Abbey Clancy, the British model and fellow amateur dancer on the show. “Do you know where he was? In his dressing room sticking Swarovski crystals on his outfit!”

Clancy said that since the since Macdonald joined the cast of the BBC show, which pairs amateur dancers with professional ones in a live ballroom dancing competition, the casts’ usual wardrobes have gone out the window. “Everyone goes to Julien now — he is our style guru.”

At Macdonald’s show, Paloma Faith was talking about a very different type of musical performance. Next month, the crooner plans to kick off the final leg of her “Fall to Grace” tour, performing with a 42-piece orchestra. She also confirmed that she is working on an as-yet-unnamed third album, which is due out early next year. “It’s more up-tempo than the others,” said Faith. “There’s still darkness to it — but it has a more devil-may-care spirit,” she said, adding that the new music is inspired by Candi Staton’s song “Young Hearts Run Free.”
