CREATIVE JUICES: Canadian musician Alex Fleming — aka Black Atlass — is taking a closer look at the fashion world. Sitting front row at Kris Van Assche on Friday, the artist, whose composition “Paris” was used in an ad for the Louis Vuitton-Marc Jacobs exhibition at Les Arts Décoratifs, explained he would like to get more involved. “I’d love to do music for fashion shows,” said Fleming, who is working on new material in the studio. Byredo’s founder Ben Gorham has also had a busy couple of months, but in a less creative sense. “I’ve been working on the books,” he said, referring to the aftermath of having sold a majority stake in his firm to Manzanita Capital in April. Gorham will also unveil in two weeks’ time to the press a new fragrance set to launch this fall. “It’s a powdery and ambery scent; it’s the image of a woman,” he confided. “I’m not allowed to say any more than that.”
