CURTAIN RAISER: Manuel Puig, spotted in the front row at Maison Martin Margiela’s Artisanal show on Wednesday, said he had dropped by as a neighbor — of sorts. “Renzo Rosso and I both have houses in Formentera,” said Puig, vice-chairman of the Barcelona-based beauty and fashion firm Puig.

Rosso, who owns Maison Martin Margiela through his holding company, Only the Brave Srl, sat chatting with rapper and aspiring designer Kanye West. Raf Simons, who earlier this week showed his couture creations for Dior, also made an appearance.

Marina Hands revealed she had just finished shooting “GHB,” directed by Laetitia Masson and produced by Mirwais Ahmadzaï, the record producer and songwriter made famous through his collaborations with Madonna.

“It’s his first film as producer,” said Hands. The French actress plays three different characters in the film, which co-stars Clémence Poésy and Elodie Bouchez. “It’s the story of women who are searching for an impossible love,” she revealed.

Rachida Brakni, the French actress and wife of former soccer star Eric Cantona, got to combine her two passions — acting and music — in her next film, which features original songs by Algerian singer-songwriter Rachid Taha.

“It’s a social comedy about two neighbors who have nothing in common, and who grow closer through music. I play a cabaret singer,” she said. Next fall, Brakni will switch to heavier fare with stage adaptations of “Hedda Gabler” and “Autumn Sonata.”
