SILENT TREATMENT: Due to a generator failure, Marni had models walk the runway at its second show on Sunday with minimal lighting and no music — a touch of irony given that the venue on Milan’s Viale Umbria was previously a discotheque.

The company restored the space, which it bought prior to the transaction that saw Renzo Rosso’s OTB take a majority stake in Marni last year, ceo Gianni Castiglioni said before the show.

“He is an excellent partner, we have a perfect relationship as he is a great supporter of the company, and never invasive,” Castiglioni said of Rosso.

He added that Marni is developing the Chinese and American markets, and “we also want to build on our activities with celebrities.”
