SHOOTING STAR: Zoe Saldana is finding that success comes at a price: With a full slate of new movies this year, the “Avatar” star won’t be taking a vacation anytime soon. “I literally thought that after the Oscars I was going to have a little break, but I go immediately to promotion mode again,” she said backstage at the Max Mara show in Milan.

Up next is the Neil LaBute-directed comedy “Death at a Funeral,” followed by action movie “The Losers,” which Saldana lightly summed up: “Me in underwear shooting guns!” The actress will turn to weightier matters when she heads to India later this year to direct an episode for U.S. documentary series “Half the Sky” focusing on women’s education in Afghanistan. “It’s obviously a little too dangerous to shoot there, so we’re going to shoot it in India,” she noted.
