SMASHED AT MICHAEL: Two of the women of NBC’s recently launched big-budget Broadway drama “Smash” were side-by-side front row for Michael Kors’ runway show at Lincoln Center on Wednesday morning.
“We can’t get enough of each other on this show,” Anjelica Huston said shortly before taking her seat next to Debra Messing. Huston showed no signs of cast-mate fatigue despite a demanding filming schedule.
“We’re crazy about each other…I’m thrilled; I couldn’t be happier to be next to Debra Messing,” she said.
In neat bit of synergy, the pair were in the center of a lowercase smash themselves, as cameras rushed the narrow aisle to get a shot of their fellow front row VIPs: Paula Patton, Jessica Alba and Amber Heard.
Heard wore a cream Kors dress with a black lace swath around its midsection. It was a bit more dressed up than her wardrobe for the Guess Jeans ads that tend to be ubiquitous in taxis every fashion week. Heard is in New York these days, and copped to having sat through a few.
“I caught a few rounds,” she laughed. “It’s strange, I guess it’s strange, but I see myself as having to laugh at it, you know?”
