AB FAB FRONT ROW: Jennifer Saunders was among the celebrity contingent that turned out for Richard James’ fall men’s show at the BMW showroom in London’s Park Lane Tuesday. But despite perhaps being best known for her fashion PR alter ego, Edina Monsoon, Saunders is a newbie to the world of men’s fashion. “I’m looking forward to it — it’s my first men’s wear show,” said Saunders.
The writer and comedian said she’s working on “lots of stuff,” and added that the film version of “Absolutely Fabulous,” “will happen,” but didn’t elaborate further on details of the project. Meanwhile, rapper Tinie Tempah, who’s an ambassador for London Collections Men, said that he’s plotting showing his own collection of high-end street-wear in London “this time next year.” “It’s good to come here and get some ideas and inspirations,” he said. Other guests on James’ packed front row included DJ Mark Ronson, actor Andrew Scott and the British Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.
