DARK MATTER: At only 15, Chloë Grace Moretz is fast turning into a fashion fixture. The teen has been on the cover of Love magazine and this morning she attended the Sportmax show in Milan, having been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award. The “Kick-Ass” star said there were other, still hush-hush, fashion-related projects in the works, but she won’t be following her peer Hailee Steinfeld’s footsteps by appearing in an ad campaign — just yet. “I think I’m going to hold campaigns until I’m a little bit older, because if I do them at this age now, where will I go when I’m 19?” the preternaturally poised actress said. Moretz recently finished shooting Tim Burton’s vampire flick “Dark Shadows” alongside Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter, and she is on board for a film based on the cartoon character Emily the Strange. Just don’t refer to her as the weird girl. “I try to be a very versatile actress. I try not to do one type of genre, even though I do love dark movies,” she said.
After the show, Moretz did a photo shoot for Max Mara’s magazine, and then joined a clutch of top editors for dinner at Da Giacomo Bistro, where she was egged on to test her Italian. She certainly was impressed by the style of the Milanese. “I saw a woman riding her bike in stilettos. I was in love,” she marveled.
