ALL IN THE FAMILY: Kim Kardashian was reunited with Valentino Garavani, who in May hosted a pre-wedding brunch for her and Kanye West, at the Valentino couture show in Paris on Wednesday.
The reality TV star said she was on a lightning visit to the French capital to attend the event and support her sister Kendall Jenner, who the previous day walked on the Chanel runway.
“I’m so proud of her. It’s so crazy to see my little sister now traveling the world and having her own career, so I wanted her to feel like she had some kind of family support here,” said Kardashian, dressed in a cleavage-baring eau de Nil Valentino gown.
She expressed enthusiasm for her new app, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.”
“It is a video game and it’s kind of stepping into my world and making it in Hollywood, and it’s really fun. I think my favorite part was taking and designing all of the outfits, taking all the things I would wear in real life and putting them into the game,” Kardashian said.
“You can have a photo shoot, you can pick your photographers. We’re adding so many more things. I think today we just put up all my vacation spots that I like to go to, so you can go on a vacation in Mexico where I like to go,” she added.
Guests including Emma Watson, Baz Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin, newlyweds Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, Du Juan, Alexandra Richards and CL braved the rain to attend the show, held at the plush Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild.
Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece and her daughter Maria-Olympia were planning to head to Capri the next day, although it was not certain they would find better weather there. “I see a little thunderstorm on my iPhone,” said Marie-Chantal.
Maria-Olympia, at Paris Couture Week for the first time, borrowed one of her mother’s vintage Valentino dresses to attend the opening of the “Valentino: Master of Couture” exhibition at Somerset House in London in 2012.
“It was a 1985 Valentino. I think I was 16 when I wore it. I’m terrible at math, but I should have been about that age. And it was great — it was like one of my first glamorous dresses,” Marie-Chantal recalled. “I have some good pieces. I like to hold on to everything.”
