ELECTRIC SAMURAI: Sitting front row at Yohji Yamamoto on Friday night was Tomoyasu Hotei. “I have a show in London on November 9 and Yohji is going to design my stage outfit,” noted the Japanese singer-songwriter, who came accompanied by his wife, singer Miki Imai. “It’s going to be a real samurai look — cool and solid.”
The concert’s title is “The Electric Samurai” — a reference to Hotei’s album of the same name, the music of which was prominently featured in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill.” Hotei, who is rebooting his international career, is set to perform another show in New York on Nov. 13. There’s also a new album in the making. “It will be released worldwide, hopefully next year,” he said.
