Frontlineshop is celebrating 25 years with 24-hour parties and pop-up shopping in Berlin. The German online seller started in 1986 as a collective, then a catalogue, with an eye toward importing first cool music and later street style. In its quarter-century of existence, Frontlineshop has become the country’s leading Internet retailer in the streetwear category. Birthday parties for the Hamburg-based firm take place on Berlin’s Torstrasse, with special events including live painting from artist JayBo Monk, Carhartt BBQ, a Levi’s Print Workshop and a Nike sportswear 5k run. Shoppers can choose from among around 80 streetwear brands on offer, including Drykorn, Jeffrey Campbell, Adidas, and Closed, and have the chance to pre-order limited edition Frontlineshop anniversary exclusives from Uslu Airlines, Ben Sherman, Iriedaily, Wood Wood, and others. In keeping with the online model, in-shop items are display only; purchases will be shipped to buyers at no charge. Frontlineshop’s pop-up stays open through Saturday.
