Elvis Presley Enterprises, (owned by Authentic Brands Group) has linked with Garrett Leight and California Optical to launch a limited-edition holiday eyewear collection called “The King.”
Inspired by the American musician and pop culture icon, Leight worked with men’s wear designer Mark McNairy to design sunglasses that faithfully represent Presley’s imitable style. Modeled after frames from Presley’s personal collection, including the “Neostyle Nautic” gold-plated frames he wore throughout the late Sixties and Seventies, the metal sunglasses feature the letters “TCB” wrapped around a lightning bolt on the temple. It’s an acronym for “Taking Care of Business,” Presley’s motto during the early Seventies. The logo was used on much of his iconic jewelry including his custom ring and necklace, and was also emblazoned on the tail of his private jet. The limited-edition collection of 100 $395 frames hits Garrett Leight stores, select retailers and elvis.com and garrettleight.com Dec. 14.
