WELL-CONNECTED: Jean Paul Gaultier is launching his first line of multimedia accessories. The designer has splashed his famous sailor stripes across a range of covers for mobile phones and tablets made by Bigben Connected, a French specialist in multimedia accessories that already produces such products for brands including Kenzo, Quiksilver and Swarovski Elements.

The range, to launch in France at Colette as well as telephone stores in mid-November, includes plastic and knitted covers for phones and tablets in various designs incorporating sailor stripes, tattoos or the tin can that houses the brand’s fragrance. The line is priced between 19.90 euros and 49.90 euros, or $26.95 and $67.58 at current exchange. An international launch is not planned at this point, according to a spokeswoman for Bigben.
