Giorgio Armani Congratulates Paolo Sorrentino on Oscar Nomination

The designer has dressed the film director on various occasions, including last Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards ceremony.

KUDOS: On Thursday, Giorgio Armani congratulated Paolo Sorrentino, the film director of “The Great Beauty,” which received the nomination for an Academy Award in the “Best Foreign Language Film of the Year” category.

“Sorrentino is a true artist, and his original and bold work places Italy at the top of cinematography,” said Giorgio Armani. “In every film his gaze becomes more polished and precise. Collaborating with him is thrilling because I’m taking part in new challenges; I feel like I’m on the right track.”

Armani dressed Sorrentino on various occasions, including last Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards ceremony, when the movie director received the award for “Best Foreign Movie.”
