GIRLS WHO WEAR GLASSES: Kate Moss is doing her bit to prove the old Dorothy Parker dictum wrong by donning glasses in the latest ads for Vogue Eyewear. The campaign was shot by Mario Testino in September and will be unveiled on the company’s Web site next week. Daniela Policastro, Vogue Eyewear’s brand manager, said, “We are excited about having Kate Moss as spokesperson for the new Vogue Eyewear advertising campaign and about working once again with Mario Testino.” Behind-the-scenes footage — exclusive to WWD.com — shows Moss perching on a chaise longue on the grounds of Syon House in Brentford, outside of London. The shoot was styled by Katy England, with the help of makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, who gave Moss a shiny, ruby lip.

NARS ON FILM: Nars has created a short film to show off its Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil lineup, which is out in February. Featuring model Heather Marks and directed by London-based fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben, the shots focus tightly in on Marks’ lips and showcase all six shades in the new collection. Brand founder François Nars was the creative force behind the film, while Diane Kendal did the makeup. It is the second product-focused film for the brand. The first was created for the introduction of Pure Matte Lipstick last fall. The short film will be online today at narscosmetics.com and Facebook.com/narscosmetics, and will hit select retailer Web sites and Nars counters next month.
