STAR-STUDDED SOIREE: The Goya Awards, Spain’s equivalent of the Oscars, was strictly a local affair Sunday Night — with no Naomi Watts or Ewan McGregor (both up for “Impossible”) and no Penélope Cruz, a best actress contender (who lost) for the Italian melodrama “Volver a Nacer.” Cruz is expecting her second baby, it was officially confirmed last week. Her hubby Javier Bardem dropped in long enough to pick up his sixth Goya for best documentary, “Hijos de Las Nubes,” which he produced and is about the political chaos in North Africa. On the red carpet was spotted lots of flash, glitter, black, sexy necklines and big jewelry. Maribel Verdú turned up in a long-sleeved black top and rose-printed ball skirt by Raf Simons for Dior. She got the best actress award for “Blancanieves,” a black-and-white silent film. Veteran actress Goya Toledo stuck with Elie Saab in a sultry gold-beaded gown. Top model and fashion TV presenter Nieves Alvarez wore a real sizzler by French couturier Stéphane Rolland in black and white with a giant red flower. And up-and-coming actress Amaia Salamanca opted for an asymmetrical second-skin number with striped transparencies by Zuhair Murad.
