ROLE CALL: Haskell LLC has added Garth Leas to its executive roster, as executive vice president of merchandising licensed brands, jewelry and timepieces. Leas joins the firm from Macy’s where he was divisional merchandise manager for fashion jewelry, and fashion and fine watches. At Haskell, he will report directly to Brett Fialkoff, vice chairman and chief operating officer.
Leas officially began his new role on Oct. 1. His new job will see him managing brands and special projects — including a forthcoming partnership with Charm & Chain.
Leas spent more than 24 years at Macy’s, joining the retailer as a sales manager after graduating from Binghamton University. He rose through the retailer’s ranks, filling various buying roles in the jewelry and watch department until he became manager of planning for the sector. Leas’ last role at Macy’s was as dmm for fashion jewelry, and fashion and fine watches.
