OUT OF AFRICA: As she slipped into her seat at Balenciaga Tuesday morning next to Francois-Henri Pinault, Salma Hayek declared: “It’s going to be a culture shock.” That’s because the actress, and mother of Pinault’s daughter Valentina, said she just arrived from Sierra Leone, where she was doing some charity work for Unicef. “I was there vaccinating and seeing the effects of the campaign,” she said, noting she has been in Europe a couple of weeks. “I’m very excited to be here at this show.” Elsewhere in the dark room, actress Clemence Poesy said she plays a “mysterious Polish girl” in her latest film, “Heartless,” a description that doesn’t apply to her character. “She has a heart,” Poesy said with a sweet smile.
