HEADING EAST: Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with developer OCT Group for a new hotel in Shanghai due to open in 2015. The project will be unveiled today in the Chinese metropolis. This will be the fourth hotel for the luxury brand, following openings in Milan in 2004, in Bali in 2006 and in London in June, and it will be located within a riverside complex development in the artistic district of Suhe Creek.
The hotel will have 120 rooms and suites and be lodged in the 12 upper floors of the 40-story building designed by Foster + Partners. As the preceding units, the interiors will be designed by architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners.

In addition to a rooftop swimming pool, a ballroom and a 21,600-square-foot spa, the hotel will comprise a Chinese fine dining restaurant in the restored, former Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the first of its kind in the country and which dates back to 1900.
