Hillary Clinton to Present at CFDA Awards

The former Secretary of State will present the Founders Award to Oscar de la Renta.

NEW YORK — Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will present the Founders Award to Oscar de la Renta at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday night.

The event takes place at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

The Founders Award, given in honor of Eleanor Lambert who founded the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1962, is given to the individual who has made a unique contribution to the world of fashion and deserves the industry’s special recognition.

This year’s program will be digitally broadcast on on June 4 at 10 a.m. The awards are being underwritten by Swarovski.
