HOFFMAN’S HONOR: On Tuesday, industry executives like Jones Group’s Richard Dickson, Milly’s Michelle Smith and Andy Oshrin, and Calvin Klein Inc.’s Tom Murry and PVH’s Emanuel Chirico gathered at The Plaza for the UJA-Federation of New York luncheon. This year, the annual luncheon honored Brendan Hoffman, president and chief executive officer of The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. and Peerless Clothing International chairman and ceo Alvin Segal. The event raised $1.3 million, but for Hoffman’s two children, who couldn’t attend because they were still finishing school this week, there were more pressing concerns. “My 10-year-old son, Matthew, wanted to know what the award would look like,” Hoffman told the crowd. “My eight-year-old daughter, Julia, wanted to know what they would be serving for dessert.”
