HOLDING COURT: Lacoste’s women’s tennis players held court on the front row of thier sponsor’s show Saturday. Nathalie Dechy, who won the women’s doubles Sunday, watched the show, which included pieces from the French brand’s 75th anniversary collection.
IT’S RAINING STARS: Samuel L. Jackson, LL Cool J, Veronica Webb, Mena Suvari and Waris Ahluwalia sat in rafters under train tracks — enduring a simulated thunder storm — in Chelsea at Y-3’s fifth anniversary show Saturday. Both Suvari and Ahluwalia both just dropped off limited-edition accessory collections they designed. Suvari debuted a collection of scarves, a partnership with Echo that benefits the NRDC, at Bloomingdale’s Friday; each of the three scarves is a picture the actress took of a tree. Jewelry designer Ahluwalia, who spent the summer in India, dropped off seven one-of-a-kind pieces at Bergdorf Goodman last week when he returned from Fashion Week. “I’m sort of attached to them — the idea of one-of-a-kind is scary,” Ahluwalia said. “I’ll never see them again — I’d like visitation rights.”
