HOLY COW, BATMAN: Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor is doing double duty for Forever 21. The 21-year-old model, DJ and rock progeny is the face of the fast-fashion retailer’s fall campaign and will also be in images touting Forever 21’s limited-edition collection with Warner Bros. called Bats & Cats launching Friday. Priced from $2.80 to $42.80, the collection contains apparel for men and women inspired by Batman and Catwoman, including jackets, sweaters, hats, sleepwear and beauty products. Key pieces are fake fur coats with a bat print and satin lining, black quilted backpacks with gold bat hardware, cropped fitted sweaters featuring Catwoman and matte black press-on nails with metallic gold tips.
“With Superman and Batman appearing for the first time together in an upcoming film, these characters are more relevant than ever,” said Betsy Zanjani, senior vice president of product design at Forever 21. “The superhero fashion wave has been intensifying for several seasons now, and this new collection is bringing a fresh spin to the forefront. From film to art to fashion, everyone is looking to Batman as the coolest from the dark side of do-gooders.”
