HORSEY SET: Charlotte Casiraghi was back in the saddle for the Paris Eiffel Jumping, a new show-jumping competition held at the base of the Eiffel Tower, sponsored by Gucci.
“I am her first fan,” said Casiraghi’s beau Gad Elmaleh during a VIP luncheon hosted by the Italian fashion brand on Sunday for the Gucci Gold Cup course. The French actor is celebrating his 20 years of show business at the Palais des Sports stadium in Paris in November.
The three-day event, organized by Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel and Longines, concluded Sunday with the Gucci Gold Cup course coinciding with the start of couture week in Paris.
Casiraghi reunited with fellow Gucci equestrian ambassadors Edwina Tops-Alexander, Guillaume Canet and Jessica Springsteen.
Springsteen took part in the Gucci Gold Cup competition event and ranked number seven. “My horse is Vindicat. I had it for a long time. It is a great horse,” said Springsteen before riding, also marveling at the location. “It is one of the most beautiful show rings I have ever seen.”
She was accompanied by her parents, father Bruce Springsteen and his wife, Patti. They joined a glamorous family of French cinema — Marion Cotillard, Canet and their toddler, Marcel.
Cotillard will appear next in an adaptation of “Macbeth” opposite Michael Fassbender.
“It was important for me to come by,” said Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, sporting a deep-blue pantsuit by French contemporary brand Georges Rech. “My shoes are full of sand,” she said with a laugh after visiting the riders and the horses.
Casiraghi presented German rider Marcus Ehning with the Gucci Gold Cup.
