MOVING ON DOWN: H.Stern will open a pop-up shop in SoHo on Thursday, as it continues the remodeling process of its Fifth Avenue flagship — which has temporarily closed for the renovation. The pop-up, located at 104 Greene Street, will be in operation through July.
Roberto Stern, the jewelry firm’s creative director and chief executive officer, said of the space: “We find that it’s a nice neighborhood, it’s also good a way to experiment.
“In terms of numbers, we would be happy if we get 30 percent of what we get on Fifth Avenue,” he added of the 1,800-square-foot boutique. The pop-up space was designed by Brazilian architects Adriana Valle and Patricia Carvalho, and incorporates wooden, rope, and copper design accents.
H.Stern’s Fifth Avenue location will reopen early this summer, in time for the brand to kick off celebratory plans for its 70th anniversary.
