CRILLON CLOSURE: Strike another hotel off the list of available rooms during Paris Fashion Week: The Hôtel de Crillon is following in the footsteps of the Ritz Paris and closing for renovations for 24 months. The luxury establishment on Place Concorde, which was sold to a member of the Saudi Arabian royal family in 2010, has already undergone an external facelift with the recent renovation of its façade. Come fall, it will shut down to allow extensive work on its ground floor, rooms, suites and restaurants, and the creation of a spa. The hotel said it would negotiate measures with staff representatives to save jobs and improve training in order to guarantee the best quality of service when the hotel reopens, but provided no further details.
