TRAILBLAZING: This year the IAC’s 17th annual Fashion and Design Conference, which takes place Nov. 13 and 14, will highlight innovators within the industry.

The conference, which will be held at The Graduate Center at The City University of New York, will include a presentation from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton on the making of the exhibit “China: Through the Looking Glass;” a session with stylist Freddie Leiba highlighting his work; a panel on denim moderated by Fashion Institute of Technology professor Jeffrey P. Silberman and featuring François Girbaud and Adriano Goldschmied, and more; and a panel on the integration of content and commerce moderated by WWD’s media editor Alexandra Steigrad.

The conference will commence with a book signing and reception for celebrity photographer Ron Galella’s new book, “Ron Galella 55 Years a Paparazzi,” at the Staley-Wise Gallery in New York City on November 12.
