STRIPES AND STRIPES: Illesteva is getting into the American spirit. The New York-based eyewear and accessories brand founded in 2009 is launching a limited edition Fourth of July collection of red and blue striped sunglasses just in time for the holiday weekend. The two styles — executed in the brand’s popular Leonard II frames, with a signature rounded shape — are made of a unique acetate mix with UV-resistant lenses. The stripe design “was an important part of our summer collection,” said co-founder Daniel Silberman. Each pair retails for $260 on illesteva.com.
