INAUGURAL EFFORT: Handbag designer Khirma Eliazov will open her first namesake boutique in New York City’s West Village and unveil her first e-commerce enabled site at today. The 850-square-foot shop at 102 Charles Street will also serve as Eliazov’s office and showroom (the entire space is 2,200 square feet). She has called upon the talents of Valerie Pasquiou and Colleen Rae Smiley on interior design and the window displays, respectively. Decor elements at the shop include carriage-house windows, high ceilings, reclaimed wood fixtures, a black velvet couch with pointed gold chrome legs and a wall of white painted mirrors.

Eliazov launched her collection nearly four years ago, and it’s now carried at over 60 doors worldwide, including Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Ron Herman Japan, Harvey Nichols and Tsum. Other items the designer has discovered on her travels, like Farameh Publishing Lifestyle books, Queensbee jewelry and Irakli knitwear and jackets, will also be merchandised throughout the store.
