MILAN — Italia Independent and Ducati Motor Holding have signed a three-year collaboration agreement for the design and manufacturing of co-branded products for the Italian motorcycle company’s Scrambler label.

The first fruits of the partnership will be unveiled at the upcoming Art Basel international fair, running Dec. 3 to 6 in Miami.

“I’m happy with this joint venture born under the sign of excellence, both stylistic and technological, between two companies which share many values, a strong respect of tradition and the desire to look to the future,” said Italia Independent cofounder and president Lapo Elkann. [The two companies represent] two different worlds but not as distant as they could appear, and they got closer to one another in order to create products designed and manufactured in Italy, yet infused with a global spirit.”

“We are very glad about this collaboration agreement with Italia Independent. We started discussing this a year ago and we immediately realized that Scrambler Ducati would have been the best brand to start developing a range of co-branded products,” said Ducati Motor Holding chief executive officer Claudio Domenicali. “Style, design, innovation combined with an incredible attention to detail put Ducati and Italia Independent on a common ground. Based on this, we aim to create products able to offer our customers a unique experience.”
