Italian Brand Ter et Bantine Heading to Paris Fashion Week

The show will take place on Sept. 25 at 12:30 pm at the Palais des Beaux Arts.

HEADING TO PARIS: Despite the efforts of the Italian Chamber of Fashion — and Giorgio Armani — to keep Italian brands showing in Milan, Ter et Bantine said Thursday it is decamping to Paris. The show will take place on Sept. 25 at 12:30 pm at the Palais des Beaux Arts.

“The decision to move the Ter et Bantine show to Paris is motivated by the strategic necessity of maximize the brand’s internationalization,” said David Agus, chief executive officer of GFM Industria, which controls the fashion house. “The request came specifically from our clients and international partners. Nowadays, 80 percent of the brand’s turnover is made outside the country and the collection designed by Manuela deserves maximum visibility.”

The company applied the same strategy last September, when Hache, the contemporary brand sister to Ter et Bantine, made its debut during New York Fashion Week with a runway show at Pier 59 Studios.

Miu Miu and Valentino are expected to show in Paris for spring, while Costume National will unveil its women’s spring collection in Milan in September, after more than 20 years of showing in Paris.
