Ivanka Trump Inks Partnership in China

Brand plans to open first store in Hong Kong this year.

Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry has signed a retail partnership agreement with Hong Kong-based retail distribution company Studio 1601 to jointly launch the brand in Asia.

The first store is to open in Hong Kong sometime this year, and the partners are looking to open stores in Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei and Macau in 2012.

“The luxury market in China and Hong Kong is very strong and the customer is aligned with my own target audience,” said Trump.

Studio 1601 said it expects each Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry boutique in Asia to generate over $3 million in sales the first year, with expected growth of 20-25 percent per year.
