HEALTH CARE: Karolina Kurkova, this year’s spokeswoman of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and star of the initiative’s global campaign, is taking her new role seriously. On Wednesday afternoon, she toured the Maimonides Breast Cancer Center as part of a mission to raise awareness for the cause. Wearing the FTBC T-Shirt, Kurkova met with with patients. She was joined by CFDA chief executive officer Steven Kolb and, with hospital president Pam Brier, toured the facilities and learned about the hospital and its patient care programs.
