Kenneth Cole Opening Health Center in Haiti

No stranger to philanthropy, the designer is continuing to contribute to relief efforts in Haiti through Awearness, his charitable foundation.

HAITI HELP: Kenneth Cole, no stranger to philanthropy, is continuing to contribute to relief efforts in Haiti. Through Awearness, his charitable foundation, the designer will open the Kenneth Cole Haiti Health Center at St. Mary’s Hospital in Haiti’s Cité Soleil. The center aims to “provide necessary disease prevention, education, and treatment to this population in need,” Cole said. “The courage, strength, and capacity of the Haitian people is limitless. Our hope and intention is that the center will empower them with the tools necessary to build a healthier and stronger community.” The foundation raised funds for the center via online and in-store donations, and tomorrow, Cole is additionally kicking off a two-week retail program to inspire shoppers to make $10 donations and, in return, receive a 15 percent discount on purchases, as well as future discounts.
