A T-shirt from Kenzo's Year of the Monkey capsule collection

MONKEY BUSINESS: Kenzo is celebrating the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese zodiac with a capsule collection of sweaters and T-shirts set to go on sale from Jan. 15 at Kenzo boutiques, kenzo.com and selected partner stores.

The black sweatshirts, priced from $260 to $430, feature the French contemporary brand’s signature tiger, eye and multi-icon motifs in a red and gold colorway, designed to tap into the retail momentum generated by the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, which kicks off on Feb. 8. T-shirts will retail from $110.

Since taking over the creative direction of the label in 2011, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have produced their own spin on Japanese founder Kenzo Takada’s exotic influences, with patterns including lush jungle prints and a recurring third-eye motif.
