Kenzo is teaming with up-and-coming filmmaker Sean Baker for its spring collection.
The line, designed by creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, will be imagined by Baker in an original short film that he is writing and directing. The film, which was shot entirely on an iPhone, will be released online in early February.
This film follows one Kenzo commissioned from Gregg Araki for the fall collection. That original short was titled “Here Now.”
Sean Baker’s 2015 feature film “Tangerine” has gotten buzz as one of Hollywood’s most talked-about releases of the year and is up for numerous awards including the Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature and Best Director. That, too, was shot on an iPhone.
